Equipping Students to Know and Follow Jesus
Our Youth Ministry serves students in 6th through 12th grade. Our desire is to see young people come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, grow in their walk with Him, and be equipped to live out and defend their faith as they move into adulthood.
More Than a Youth Group
Our youth group is more than a place to hang out. It is a space where students are equipped for the spiritual battle ahead through a growing understanding of God’s Word and what it means to truly know and walk with Jesus Christ.
Through Bible teaching, prayer, worship, and intentional relationships, we seek to help students build a firm foundation that will carry them through the challenges of adulthood.
Coming Alongside the Home
We believe parents play a vital role in the spiritual formation of their students. Our goal is not to replace Christian parents, but to come alongside them in pointing their children to Jesus Christ.
We seek to equip parents by sharing Bible study outlines, discussion questions, and Scripture references from youth group so families can continue meaningful conversations and discipleship throughout the week.
Weekly Youth Gathering
With a few breaks throughout the year, our youth group meets on Sundays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM in the church Fellowship Hall.
This time includes Bible study, worship, prayer, and fellowship with other students in the church.
Current studies include:
- What is Saving Faith in Jesus Christ?
- How Do We Know We Have Saving Faith?
- How Can We Live Out Our Faith?
- How Can We Defend Our Faith?
Pastor Mike is leading students through these studies this year.
Building Christ-Centered Friendships
Throughout the year, our youth group hosts a variety of activities designed to be fun, engaging, and relational. These events give students opportunities to build meaningful friendships with other Christ-followers.
While some activities are free, we strive to keep most events affordable, recognizing the financial demands families often face.
Summer Camp Experience
Every summer, our middle and high school students—along with our fourth and fifth graders—travel to northern Michigan for church camp.
Camp includes worship, in-depth Bible teaching, small group discussions, and unforgettable activities like swimming, paintball, zip-lining, and evening competitions.
Camp typically takes place the third full week of July. The cost is $400 per camper, or $360 with early registration. Fundraisers are available to help families offset costs.
