Planting God’s Word in Young Hearts
Our children’s ministry serves children from infants through 5th grade. We believe this ministry is far more than child-care — it is a God-given opportunity to partner with parents in planting the seeds of God’s Word in the hearts of the youngest members of our church family.
Our Heart for Kids
We prayerfully seek to assist parents as they raise their children in the truth of God’s Word, trusting the Lord to save their souls and raise them up as warriors for His coming Kingdom.
Every volunteer who serves in our children’s ministry understands the responsibility and privilege of teaching young hearts about who God is, what He has done, and how He calls us to live.
Nursery & Kids Church
Every Sunday morning, we offer nursery care for infants through children four years of age. Our youngest babies are separated from our older kids, with two volunteers present at all times to ensure a safe and caring environment.
Children are dismissed downstairs after the first few songs of worship, prior to the sermon. Parents may pick up their children from the nursery once the service concludes.
In addition to nursery, we offer Kids Church in our Fellowship Hall for children ages five through 3rd grade. Kids Church includes crafts, music, and interactive Bible teaching from both the Old and New Testaments, all pointing children toward the character of God.
Kids Club
During seasons when our men’s and women’s Bible studies are meeting, we offer Wednesday Night Kids Club for all children 5th grade and under.
Kindergarten through 5th grade meet in the main sanctuary building, while Pre-K through infants meet downstairs in the nursery.
Kids Club typically runs in eight to ten week sessions throughout the year and meets from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
Church Camp for Upper Elementary Students
Each summer, our upper elementary students join our middle and high school students for church camp in northern Michigan. This trip is one of the highlights of the year for our young people.
Camp includes worship services, engaging Bible teaching, small group discussions, and activities like swimming, paintball, zip-lining, and evening competitions.
Camp typically takes place the third full week of July. The cost is $400 per camper, or $360 with early registration. Fundraisers are also available to help families reduce the cost.
